Love Leicester

Love Leicester is our campaign to encourage everyone living and working here to show some real pride in the city. To be proud of Leicester's many communities, rich history, big ambitions, places and spaces, and much more besides.

We love our city for many reasons. We have an amazing cultural scene, award winning parks and open spaces, and of course the historical last days, burial site and tomb of King Richard III - the list is endless.

But we really love Leicester for its people, and that's why we're reaching out to them and others beyond to help us make our city even better for everyone.

Do your bit

We also want people to show their love for Leicester by doing their bit. By joining our community clean up events, recycling more waste. You can report grot spots as you see them using the Love Leicester app or our website.

If the problem is on public land, we'll get onto it quickly. Problems on private property will take us longer to fix.

Love Leicester is all about sharing too and we want people to show us what they love about our city. Whether it's a favourite green spot, Leicester landmark or volunteer group doing their bit, we want to know.

Use our website

Go to our Reports page to see what has already been submitted. Otherwise, send your own report. It's that simple.

Don’t forget our apps

Our app has changed! We have now switched over to the new Love Clean Streets app. If you were already using Love Leicester, then please download the new app from the Google Play Store or App Store

It’s easy to do your bit once you’ve got the Love Clean Streets app from the store.

  • Step 1: see a grot spot
  • Step 2: open the Love Clean Streets app on your smartphone
  • Step 3: set your Home Authority to Leicester (you only have to do this once!)
  • Step 4: use the camera button to take a picture of the problem
  • Step 5: add some detail then send, and we’ll do the rest

You don’t have to do it there and then - you can take a picture and tell us about the problem later on if you want. But the sooner you tell us the quicker we can fix it.
