Parking enforcement not enforcing parking restrictions fairly and consistently. By the garage at there are cars being fixed right now on the street where they are illegally parked, and no enforcement action was taken when the parking enforcement officers were here this morning, there are other cars there too which are illegally parked near the garage yet did not receive parking tickets -Abingdon Road, Leicester

This is the Granby Street pedestrian and cyclist zone that is between Northampton Street and St Georges Way. There are five illegally parked vehicles in this photograph. This is a common occurrence. The combination of illegal parking and the pedestrian and cycle zone being used as a diversion route has increased the danger to cyclists. I am aware there are enforcement patrols in this area, however there are nowhere near enough. The councils current strategy is not working.
