06/08/2026 01:26 We are pleased to confirm that Leicester’s citywide weed treatment programme has now been completed, with Abbey, Western and Belgrave wards the final areas treated in late July. A further treatment programme will begin in September. Residents should start to see signs of weed die-back within 7 to 12 days, depending on weather conditions and vegetation type. Thank you for your patience while this work has been carried out. Our teams will continue to monitor treated areas and undertake any necessary follow-up work to help keep Leicester’s streets and public spaces clean and well maintained.

The grass and bushes are very overgrown at the public footpath. Also the fire was set by the kids which is very dangerous to us residents who are living where the fire was set. If we wouldn't be in the garden and see just beginning of the fire and managing to putting the fire out with extinguisher and buckets of water it would of been catastrophic. This car parks here regularly. It was parked there at 8.30am this morning and is still there now. It is parked on the pavement and there is also a Wheely bin at the side of it.
