My idea would be to get junior schools and colleges in Leicester each areas to all work together and do practical things for the park and rivers. Like litter pixking with teachers and using a net to clean up the rivers and lakes. Maybe once a week or once a month lesson for cleaning up our environments. In rhst way the parks would be clean and tidy and children and pupils will learn environmental skills. Hello. Near my house there is a small wild area where trees and bushes have grown unkempt together with ivy. I don't think it has an owner. They also throw away vegetable waste and other things and where I suspect there are rats (they brought my neighbors' cats into my yard twice). The trees block the sunlight, they have raised the stone paving stones and being grown crowded and absolutely unkempt I think that because of the wind they are a danger to houses, cars and children playing near them. -28 Cheviot Road, Leicester, LE2 6RG

Taken at 18:35 7 Oct 2025. Students in Hello Students accommodation at 134, 136-138, and 140-142 New Walk habitually fly-tip on New Walk next to The Oval by leaving bin bags full of household refuse on the pavement next to litter bins, which attracts rats, mice, squirrels, and foxes. I reported this problem on 5th October (see job codes 5042259 and 5042227) and the rubbish was cleared by the 7th but the tenants have immediately fly-tipped again.
