As I observe yet another unsuspecting motorist get a ticket for parking in the Coaches Only parking bay outside the Athena on Queen Street, I can’t help wondering cynically what is the City Council’s intention? Is it to reserve parking for coaches or is it to lure motorists into £35 parking fines? After decades as car parking, when you change the use of said bay isn’t it obvious you need to paint COACHES on the road? Or is the income from fines too lucrative?-3 Queen Street, Leicester, LE1 1SB

As I observe yet another unsuspecting motorist get a ticket for parking in the Coaches Only parking bay outside the Athena on Queen Street, I can’t help wondering cynically what is the City Council’s intention?
