YET AGAIN we have rubbish dumped on Belgrave Boulevard. This is a frequent occurrence and it is being ignored. On Sunday a Biffa lorry caught the branches on one of the many overgrown trees along the Boulevard and quite a few were torn off the tree .The police were called as the road was blocked and today July 22nd the branches that are on the grass are still there. Any person travelling on Red Hill Way and seeing the state of the un mowed grass and rubbish that is visible must be wondering what kind of a dump Leicester city is. This picture taken outside Cottage 7 High Street, Evington (not 9) shows that the previous oil slick I reported has got worse, because van number VN09ZP continues to park here or on Main Street and his van is leaking oil. He tells me he will get it fixed. However that doesn’t appear to be happening and on 2nd July at 7.24pm a learner driver turned into this road that leads to Arbor House and the car park for flat residents ,and to avoid hitting the dustbin (left in the street 24/7 and previous-Flat 1, 9 High Street, Evington, Leicester, LE5 6FH

22/07/2026 13:32 Due to unforeseen delays weed treatment in the city will begin on June 8th, 2026, the treatment should be completed weather permitting by the 31th of July Usually after successful treatment there is noticeable die off after 8-12 days, Cleansing Services will be monitoring and acting on weed growth that are hazards on the highway.
