Recurring safety problem at Green Lane Road / Deepdale crossroads. Vehicles travelling along Green Lane Road regularly stop in the main carriageway to allow vehicles waiting at the give-way line on Deepdale to cross Green Lane Road or emerge from the junction. This is happening while traffic on Green Lane Road is flowing freely. The unexpected stopping creates a significant risk of vehicles behind running into the stationary vehicle. I have personally had to brake heavily to avoid a collision because a vehicle stopped suddenly for this reason. The Deepdale approach has clear give-way road markings.
