Near 4 Wyvern Avenue, Leicester, LE4 7HF
Leicester - Rushey Mead Ward
Description
On Wyvern Avenue, just opposite the number 4 bus stop and near the William Hill bookies, too many cars and vans keep parking on the pavement which means it is a challenge for children walking to school in the morning or back home in the afternoon. It’s becoming quite a hazard as the vehicles make it difficult to see if any other cars are parking on the pavements and has meant they are sometimes walking on the road. I have also seen some people who are in their electric wheelchairs having to go on the road because the parked cars have used the pavement instead. There are two concrete bollards on part of the pavement but before that there’s a lot of space which people just seem to park their cars full on the pavement and not on the curb. Is there any way we can prevent or restrict this?
