Due to unforeseen delays weed treatment in the city will begin on June 8th 2026, the treatment should be completed weather permitting by the 12th of July Usually after successful treatment there is noticeable die off after 8-12 days, Cleansing Services will be monitoring and acting on weed growth that are hazards on the highway. One of the 'street' cats here has sadly died and its body needs to be collected as it can't, obviously, be left on the street because of health & safety issues, etc. The weather is very warm at the moment & there are many flies around during the daytime, so if the cat's body was left outside it would attract a large number of flies, etc, and it would decompose very quickly in the heat and it has already started to have a strong odour, so it needs to be collected as quickly as possible please. The cat was on the right-hand side of CEDAR ROAD, a few houses straight along from the One Stop shop which is on the corner of Evington Road & Cedar Road. This is right before Myrtle Road, which is the continuation of Cedar Road. One of the residents has taken the cat;'s body in off the street so that it is not left out in the hot weather & for children to see, posing health risks, etc. Could the cat's body please be collected as soon as possible please.
