Near city town centre

Leicester - Abbey Ward

Today I was in the Town centre Gallowtree gate and I was ashamed to say that I live in Leicester the centre was full of rubbish on the ground discarded carrier bags and empty pop bottles. This is due to limited rubbish bins and with very little street cleaners working . This is also applicable to the roundabout near abbey road which the council have placed seating but no litter bins which mean people discard the rubbish on the floor again no council employees clean this area. I would like to ask what do we pay our council tax for or why do the council employ street cleaners that no one ever spots doing the job . Again go 9 miles to Loughborough and you see a town with constant street cleaners and a nicer place to shop. I would be interested to hear what the council say and if they feel that there is no problem could they send me a pair of there rose tinted glasses. -city town centre
