Since putting in the traffic refuge on Holmfield Road people park halfway across the pavement and sometimes totally on the pavement. This is worse during University term time. This obstructs the road for traffic coming up Holmfield Road. We have witnessed a truck hitting a parked car as the truck struggles to negotiate the traffic refuge. Also and more concerningly it obstructs the pavement especially for people in wheelchairs and children in pushchairs - they now have to cross the road to get by. They also sometimes park across people drives blocking residents in. Picture of less extreme example attached. If people can't park considerately shouldn't there be double yellow lines on either side of the traffic refuge? (currently they are only on one side)
