Selected Report
Near 211 Anstey Lane, Leicester, LE4 0FH
Leicester - Abbey Ward
Description
A situation that was previously reported in 2022/3 was that vehicles that mounted the grass verge in wet conditions specifically caused deep ruts in the grass and in moving to a point to re -enter the highway spread mud and slush onto the path that feeds to the bus-stop near to 217 Anstey Lane and I had requested that railing were installed to stop cars/vans vehicles accessing the grass verge. The Response to my initial communication accepted the situation but inadequate funds were available to undertake such works, the problem of mud /slush can easily be achieved with minimum costs if barriers each side of the path feeding to the bus-stop were installed to stop vehicles crossing the said same path which causes the elderly and those without sure footing a risk of falling and should be undertaken immediately before the council could be held responsible for any such injuries. .
