Leicester - Stoneygate Ward

Dear Council, I am writing as a local shop owner to raise a concern about the items and decorations placed outside a nearby shop. I believe these items make the street look untidy and unattractive. More importantly, they can make it difficult for disabled people, wheelchair users and people with mobility difficulties to walk past safely. As a local business owner, I care about the appearance of our street and want our area to be clean, welcoming and accessible for everyone. Despite countless reports, the persistent fly-tipping outside 6 Oxford Street continues to worsen. Large quantities of rubbish are repeatedly dumped on the public highway, obstructing the pavement and creating serious hygiene and environmental concerns. Previous reports have clearly failed to deliver a lasting solution. This is completely unacceptable. We urgently request an investigation, appropriate enforcement action against those responsible and measures to prevent further dumping.-Flat 1, 6 Oxford Street, Leicester, LE1 5XZ

I am writing to report the large accumulation of fallen leaves on the pavement and roadside in our area, as shown in the attached photograph. The wet and decaying leaves are creating a significant slip hazard for pedestrians. This is particularly concerning for young children, elderly residents, pregnant women, and people with mobility difficulties who regularly use this footpath. A slip or fall could result in serious injury. The leaves have also accumulated to such an extent that parts of the pavement are becoming difficult to use safely. I kindly request that the area be inspected and cleared as soon as possible to prevent accidents and ensure public safety. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to your response.-18 Brocklesby Way, Leicester, LE5 1LB
