Near 6 Verdale Avenue

There has been a broken manhole cover now at the above address for over 10 days. My neighbours at 6 Verdale have said they reported it to the city council and I also did on 29th September under reference GE650600898. Still nothing has been done. I have a 2 year old child not only is it a safety hazard to me and my family but also to the public. Not to mention the health hazard as the sewers are exposed -6 Verdale Avenue

My neighbours at 6 Verdale have said they reported it to the city council and I also did on 29th September under reference GE650600898. Still nothing has been done. Recurring safety problem at Green Lane Road / Deepdale crossroads.

Vehicles travelling along Green Lane Road regularly stop in the main carriageway to allow vehicles waiting at the give-way line on Deepdale to cross Green Lane Road or emerge from the junction.

This is happening while traffic on Green Lane Road is flowing freely. The unexpected stopping creates a significant risk of vehicles behind running into the stationary vehicle. I have personally had to brake heavily to avoid a collision because a vehicle stopped suddenly for this reason.

The Deepdale approach has clear give-way road markings. Please could Highways investigate whether the current junction layout, markings or signage could be contributing to this recurring safety problem.-289 Green Lane Road, Rowlatts Hill, Leicester, UK
