I am writing to raise an urgent concern about a repeated safety issue outside the nursery in our local community. Every day there are broken bottles and glass left in and around the nursery space. This is extremely dangerous and puts young children, families, and staff at risk of serious injury. New barriers have made the path extremely dangerous and unusable for disabled users. I have 2 friends who I walk with on this park everyday who use mobility scooters, due to these new barriers they can no longer use the park as they cannot get up the path through the gaps without the danger of sliding down the bank. Vandals have helpfully removed 2 of the gates already. I understand this is to slow cyclists etc on the hill but it has made the park unusable for others. -14 Stokes Drive, Leicester, LE3 9BR
