The problem persists. This image shows SEVEN motor vehicles parked illegally and driving illegally on the Granby Street pedestrian and cycle zone that is between Northampton Street and St Georges Way. This section of pedestrian zone has become a cruising strip for drivers and is a very dangerous place for pedestrians and people on bicycles. The road traffic signs make it clear that driving and parking motor vehicles is illegal on this section of Granby Street between 9am and 5am (Sat) and 11am and 5am (Sun-Fri). I’d like to report an incident that occurred on Tuesday 21st May 2025 at around 3:10 PMThe Wayne Way, Leicester (near Al-Aqsa Schools Trust).

Two vehicles were blocking our driveway during school pick-up. A white car had been parked there since 2:45 PM. My father came home from work and could not enter our driveway. One driver apologised and moved quickly, but the white car driver refused to move, telling us to “go all the way around.” He was dismissive and aggressive in his reply, refusing to cooperate despite polite requests. s a result, my father had to drive around—onto number 12’s part of the driveway and up onto the pavement—to enter our own driveway.

We have a H marking and he was parked on there.

I understand this may not be something the council can act on directly, but I would appreciate it if the incident could be logged in case of future issues. If possible, I would also welcome increased parking patrols during school pick-up hours, as this kind of behaviour happens frequently in our area, and aggressive conduct from parents is unacceptable.

Again today / Rang police and told that I have to raise with council as they need to send traffic wardens here regularly to sort health and safety concerns as pedestrians are unable to use pavement - unfortunately someone at council just closes this - however I will keep raising as when someone dies not being able to use pavement - someone who keeps closing will need to answer to legal claims and-76 Barkby Road, Leicester, LE4 9LF

Unattended in Clarendon Park Rd on the public pavement. It frequently is dangerous for people passing as there is a lamppost and are forced to walk closer to the busy road.
