Traffic cones being used to reserve public parking spaces I would like to report the ongoing use of traffic cones to reserve multiple on-street parking spaces outside Highfields Street, Leicester. The cones appear to prevent other members of the public from parking in these spaces. The area affected spans approximately four car lengths, and the cones and vehicles appear to be moved around over time to allow family members to park. Parking is limited in the area, and I am concerned that public parking spaces are being treated as privately reserved spaces. I have photographs documenting the situation and would appreciate the council investigating whether the placement of these cones is authorised and whether any action is appropriate. Thank you.
