There has been three RTCs this week including myself due to faint non existent road markings. Yesterday a vehicle entered Mowmacre hill estate and turned right straight into Belgrave Boulevard. This caused the third party vehicle to collide into my vehicle on the S bend section before the junction of Beaumont Leys lane. At the junction A green bus waited to proceed. Beging the Green bus two vehicles were stationary including mine. The driver on the opposite side of the road entering Holderness Road automatically turned right and caused damage to my vehicle. I have reported the incident to my insurance company and the police. In the interest of Road safety and the Road Traffic Act and Regulations the carriageway markings are non existent. Could you please address this before another incident occurs. I have taken photos of the junction and relayed them to my insurance company who will look into this. The other diver assumed it was a priority to turn right into this junction when there is a give way on the junction of Belgrave boulevard and Holderness road.
The trauma, and inconvenience of this incident has caused upset not to me Timon the neglect of road markings and school sights that have not been addressed for 25 years. As a resident I have noted that Mowmacre road markings are non existent.
On another matter. Speed limits are non existent with no repeaters. Bewcastle grove vehicles drive fast in excess of 20 mph (Average speed 30-40 mph from the junction to the care home including Taxis and employees being dropped off early morning and through out the day.
You may ask how do I calculate speed. Time divide by distance =speed - the 20 mph sign is too high and drivers do not see this because it is in the wrong position above the school waiting restrictions sign.
Thankyou for your time and I hope the matter is resolved before another RTC occurs with in the next 4 weeks.
Yours sincerely
