The bridge next to the church has a ledge on it. When the environment agency were contacted to clear a blockage in the brook, they were asked to clear the ledge of the bridge. They didn't. The area is a designated flood area and we try to be proactive in keeping it clear. the ledge is used by us to clear out debris as it appears to prevent flooding. Road surface is getting extremely dangerous. In the cold of winder this section get very frosty and retain snow for longer and it is very congested with cars, pedestrians during Wolsey house Primary School opening and closing hours. Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing to formally request full resurfacing of Barkby Road. As attached, the asphalt surface is severely degraded with widespread potholes, crumbling tarmac, and structural wear along the carriageway. This creates serious hazards for motorists, cyclists, and heavy commercial transport frequenting the industrial area. I wish to report ongoing illegal parking and a road-safety concern associated with late-night activity outside on Checketts Road. Cars can be seen parked on double yellow lines while people are walking in/around the road late at night, creating a potential hazard. Of particular concern, the business itself has publicly advertised the late-night activity on social media, with footage appearing to show the parking and pedestrian situation. I moved into this property june 2026 there has been a big pile left outside the property for several months my health isn’t good and I can’t physically pick these items up left by the council. I have a son whose special needs and the items are stopping him using the front garden it is a fireplace a bag for building material and some wood.
