There is a privately owned parcel of land adjacent to residential properties in Humberstone that has become severely overgrown and appears unmanaged. The extent of the vegetation is affecting both the pavement and the roadway, creating a blind spot for motorists when turning the corner and raising concerns about public safety. Residents are also concerned about the potential fire risk posed by the volume of unmanaged vegetation, particularly during periods of dry weather. There have previously been concerns regarding vermin associated with the site, and the continued lack of maintenance is causing concern within the local community. I would be grateful if the council could investigate whether any action can be taken and advise the landowner of their responsibilities.-3 West Dr, Leicester, UK

The street light at the end of the cul de sac hasn’t been working for weeks now. There is a risk for safety as it’s pitch black in the early hours of the morning and late night and visibility is poor, you cannot see where you’re going and have to use a flash light. I am member of Humberstone Heights golf course and I am very disappointed by the grass maintenance - the fairway grass is too long, has lots of weeds and lots of patches where there is no grass. This applies to all areas of the course, including the pitch and putt and where bunkers are being replaced. The course used to be the pride of Leicester, but it’s now being run to the ground. I understand we have had dry conditions this summer but this doesn’t excuse the state of affairs now.-New Humberstone House, 40 Thurmaston Lane, Leicester, LE5 0TE
